Agile Project Management with Kanban Training Course

This instructor-led, live training session (available either online or on-site) caters to both beginners and advanced practitioners. The knowledge and tools imparted can be directly applied to your daily tasks to enhance workflow efficiency.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be equipped to:

• Boost the volume of work items finished within a specific timeframe.
• Shorten the duration needed to complete work items.
• Enhance the predictability of work delivery (offering more accurate responses to 'When will it be finished?').
• Monitor flow metrics (including throughput, lead time, work in progress, and work item age).
• Interpret flow charts (such as the Cumulative Flow Diagram, Lead Time Histogram, and Work Aging Chart).
• Apply statistical forecasting techniques, like Monte Carlo simulations and Service Level Agreement (SLA) metrics.
• Methodically design a Kanban System (using the STATIK framework).
• Grasp Little's Law, which elucidates the nature of value flow.

This two-day course equips teams within an Agile Release Train (ART) to operate effectively in an Agile environment by leveraging frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and XP. Participants will learn how to function as Agile Teams, create and manage their backlogs, and successfully plan and execute iterations. The course also emphasizes understanding the team’s role within the ART and how to collaborate, plan, execute, and continuously improve alongside other teams.

The training prepares teams to participate in a Program Increment (PI), covering both Team-level and Program-level events, with a particular focus on upcoming PI planning sessions. Completion of the course also prepares participants for the certification exam to become a SAFe® Practitioner (SP).
