Professional Agile Leadership Essentials is a two-day workshop designed to empower leaders and managers of Agile teams, as well as their Product Owners and Scrum Masters, to facilitate organizational change by providing participants with:

• An overview of what 'Agile' is and why organizations need it to thrive in a changing world.
• The means to identify the potential opportunities, challenges and impacts of Agile in terms of business value and why this is so important to the next generation organization.
• An understanding of techniques to support teams to sustain long-term agility including the role that leaders play, shifts in thinking, and the relationship between complexity and empiricism.
• Ways to continue the development of the people to help them grow and prosper in an agile way of working. • Guidance of how to measure and guide agile product delivery.

Professional Agile Leadership Certification

All participants completing the Professional Agile Leadership - Essentials course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Agile Leadership I (PAL I) certification assessment. PAL-E class participants who attempt the PAL I assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost.

In this course in Portugal, students will learn how Scrum Teams can incorporate additional Kanban practices to enhance their work while continuing to adhere to Scrum guidelines, without altering the core framework.

During this two-day Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS) workshop, participants will engage in a simulated large-scale software development project utilizing the Nexus™ framework. Delivered through a comprehensive end-to-end case study, the session enables students to collaborate on organizing and simulating a scaled software development effort. Throughout the workshop, attendees will explore over 50 practices designed to help reduce complexity and dependencies at scale. The course provides a clear understanding of how to launch, structure, staff, and manage large Agile projects using Scrum. Participants will learn the necessary infrastructure, tools, and practices required to successfully scale Scrum, thereby maximizing the value of their software development initiatives. By adopting a hands-on approach, students remain fully engaged in the learning process, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges of large-scale development and the solutions needed to get projects back on track. Upon completion, they will possess techniques for detecting irregularities and addressing them appropriately.

This course is designed as an experiential workshop where students learn how to scale Scrum using the Nexus™ framework. Throughout the session, participants are introduced to the artifacts and events within the framework, the new Nexus Integration Team role, along with more than 50 associated practices.

Certification Assessments

All participants completing the Scaled Professional Scrum course will receive a password to attempt the Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS) assessment. SPS class participants who attempt the SPS assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost. The industry-recognized SPS certification requires a minimum passing score of 85% and involves understanding of the Nexus Framework, knowledge from the course and of Scrum.
