Professional Agile Leadership Essentials is a 2 day workshop to equip leaders and managers of Agile teams along with their Product Owners and Scrum Masters to help their organizations change by providing participants with:

• An overview of what “Agile” is and why organizations need it to thrive in a changing world.
• The means to identify the potential opportunities, challenges and impacts of Agile in terms of business value and why this is so important to the next generation organization.
• An understanding of techniques to support teams to sustain long-term agility including the role that leaders play, shifts in thinking, and the relationship between complexity and empiricism.
• Ways to continue the development of the people to help them grow and prosper in an agile way of working. • Guidance of how to measure and guide agile product delivery.
• Discuss ways to scale agility across several teams within the organization while keeping them working together to deliver on a common vision.

Professional Agile Leadership Certification

All participants completing the Professional Agile Leadership - Essentials course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Agile Leadership I (PAL I) certification assessment. PAL-E class participants who attempt the PAL I assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost.

In this course in Portugal, students will learn how Scrum Teams can add additional Kanban practices while continuing to work with Scrum, all without changing Scrum.

After completing this course, the participant will:

• Understand how the flow works in the context of Scrum.
• Learn about Kanban practices, learn what scrum teams can apply them to improve their effectiveness and efficiency.
• Learn how to effectively use appropriate Kanban practices without changing Scrum.

This instructor-led, live training in Portugal (onsite or online) is focused on the application of advanced Scrum principles, facilitation, coaching, leadership techniques, and agile product delivery strategies. It also prepares participants to take the Scrum Master II (PSM II) certification exam through targeted exercises and a sample test.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Learn how to integrate DevOps practices with Scrum to support continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation.
• Apply Scrum principles and practices in real-world software development scenarios and case studies.
• Prepare for the Professional Scrum Developer™ Certification.

In this 2-day Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS) workshop, students will simulate a large software development project using the Nexus™ framework. The workshop is delivered using an end-to-end case study where students work together to organize and simulate a scaled software development project. Throughout the workshop, students will be introduced to more than 50 practices that can be used to help reduce complexity and dependencies at scale. The workshop will provide students with an understanding of how to launch, structure, staff, and manage a large Agile project using Scrum. Throughout the workshop, students will learn the infrastructure, tools and practices needed to successfully scale Scrum to maximize the value of their software development initiative. By taking a hands-on approach, students are fully engaged in the learning process where they see first-hand the challenges in large-scale development initiatives and solutions for getting the work back on track. They will leave the workshop with techniques to detect irregularities and how to address them appropriately.

This course is designed as an experiential workshop where students learn how to scale Scrum using the Nexus™ framework. Throughout, you are introduced to the artifacts and events within the framework, the new Nexus Integration Team role, along with more than 50 associated practices.

Certification Assessments

All participants completing the Scaled Professional Scrum course will receive a password to attempt the Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS) assessment. SPS class participants who attempt the SPS assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost. The industry-recognized SPS certification requires a minimum passing score of 85% and involves understanding of the Nexus Framework, knowledge from the course and of Scrum.
