Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Training in Gaia

In this instructor-led, live training in Gaia, participants will learn how to connect various applications, data sources, and APIs as they build a sample routing application using Mule.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Use Mule's design and development tools to design, test and run Mule flows.

This course is tailored for developers working with web applications, aiming to unlock the potential of the REST architectural style to enable effective communication between different websites.

Our ED-SOA training programme centres on constructing and evaluating an architectural framework that extends the SOA reference architecture. In this model, services function as event generators, signalling issues, potential problems, opportunities, thresholds, or deviations.

Spanning five days, this course provides a comprehensive understanding of the mechanics underlying Service Oriented Architecture. It covers the technical design of SOA-based architectures and the development of service-oriented solutions to address business challenges.

This course provides guidance on designing maintainable service and system architectures that align with the size and purpose of your organization, along with practical infrastructure strategies.

The course addresses common issues encountered when building distributed application landscapes, ranging from integration challenges, infrastructure concerns, and modern approaches to resolving complexity.

It examines the advantages and disadvantages of various solutions (e.g., traditional SOA versus Microservices architecture) and highlights available tools (primarily open-source) that support development and maintenance.

In this instructor-led live training in Gaia, participants will learn how to use Talend Open Studio for ESB to create, connect, mediate, and manage services and their interactions.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

• Integrate, enhance, and deliver ESB technologies as single packages across various deployment environments.
• Understand and utilise the most commonly used components of Talend Open Studio.
• Integrate any application, database, API, or Web services.
• Seamlessly integrate heterogeneous systems and applications.
• Embed existing Java code libraries to extend projects.
• Leverage community components and code to extend projects.
• Rapidly integrate systems, applications, and data sources within a drag-and-drop Eclipse environment.
• Reduce development time and maintenance costs by generating optimized, reusable code.

This course is designed to offer a clear understanding of how to utilize, troubleshoot, and manage Web Services from a perspective outside of traditional development.

While SOA is not exclusive to BPM software, there are several natural synergies between BPM and SOA. Perhaps most obvious of these is the separation of business process management as an independent function, allowing processes to be designed independently of any single application and leveraged as shared business logic.
