Superset Data Visualisation and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A major financial services firm sought to transition away from an industry-leading BI solution for one of its key products, opting instead to migrate to an Open Source system (Superset) to achieve significant savings in licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg held multiple project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand their requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. This information was used to develop a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track project progress. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs of various report types. Recommendations were made to modify data stores to optimise Superset’s capabilities and ensure peak performance, with guidance provided to the implementation team. After optimising the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a range of reports based on established requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To present data as requested, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive data presentation features, such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome The consultants have been developing new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the client organisation to maintain these dashboards and reports. The project remains ongoing and has been well-received by both the client’s business and their end clients. Highlighting its success, the project has been expanded and extended to cover additional products and end clients.
