Requirement for Superset Consulting A major financial services client sought to transition away from a proprietary, industry-leading BI solution for one of their core products. Their goal was to migrate to an Open Source alternative (Superset) to achieve significant savings on licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg engaged the client in a series of project meetings to thoroughly define the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Following this assessment, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project’s progress. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs of each report type. We identified necessary adjustments to the data stores to optimise Superset utilisation and ensure peak performance, providing strategic guidance to the team implementing these changes. Once the data store and pipeline were optimised, our consultants began developing and deploying a range of reports based on established requirements and new requests from the business and end customers. To meet specific presentation needs, custom plug-ins were developed to enhance interactivity, including features such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome Our consultants have been constructing new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is transferred to the client organisation, empowering them to maintain the dashboards and reports independently.
The project is currently ongoing and has been highly successful, receiving positive feedback from both the client’s business unit and their end clients. To highlight the project’s impact, its scope has since been expanded to include additional products and clients.
